Tweety baby towel!

Hey howzz my tweety?? Isnt she cute? Especially when its embroidered on a towel for your cute little new born? I stitched this during my nesting period. Have you heard of the nesting period?? Mother cats , dogs and birds have such a period. Same way human moms-to-be also have a nesting time. This is the period when you prepare the nest for your soon arriving baby!! The nesting instinct is different for different moms. I spend my time mostly for stitching and preparing new clothes for the baby.
I loved the eyes and lips of the tweety.Very expressive!!
The edging is done with a double colored nylon yarn. Its a simple single crochet edging.

I adopted the pattern from the image below. Try it out!

Ripple pattern table runner

Ripples!!! Dont you all love ripples?? I just  love to simply sit in the beach and enjoy the waves. In my childhood days, when boats passes through the river we used to run to the riverside to see the backwash hitting the riverbank.

Here is an attempt to create ripple effect with yarns.

I just loved the colour combination used in this project.
An aqua blue, lemony yellow and a peppy peach well merged with the snowy white color.

The complete patent of this pattern belongs to this video. Please check it out here. It is so well explained that any beginner can attempt it.
Happy crocheting till we meet next time:)

Iranian table mat!!

Since the UAE era of my life is gonna end, probably this might be my last visit to global village. This time i am so happy that i bargained and purchased at a pretty cheap rate.
Though these carpets are meant to be iranian i got this from the pakistan pavilion. At first the price was 60dhs.then 45..later 35..finally i got two tablemats for 30 dhs. Yipee!!!!
When i got these carpets it was embellished with thick yarn, draped all over the sides. But it just made the overall look clumsy. So i removed it  and adorned it with a simple single crochet border with a beige color yarn. Here it goes!!

Teddy bear bed dolls.

This is a super easy project. One big problem with the crocheting is that we have to buy one whole roll of yarn eventhough you need only a small quantity. Finally we will be left over with lots of yarn unused. Ofcourse you can use it in any other project. But you dont have to face such a scenario here. One big roll of your favourite color  yarn is enough for this.As the first step you have to find two supercute teddies. My son got the baby teddy as a return gift from a party. I happened to find an almost similar mommy teddy from carrefour.
Here is the free link for this pattern. As you can see i have omitted many rows from the original version.
Dont they add life to your bed when you are not sleeping???
Happy crocheting !!

Cross stitch cherries.

Cherry!! cherry!! red cherry!!

Cherries and strawberries are my favourite fruits. More than its taste i am in love with their bright colors.Cant imagine a fruit bowl being complete without the bright red color of cherry.

Today i made an attempt to bring those colors to a hand towel through cross stitch.

Though i have interest in embroidery and crochet, when it comes to sewing, i am  really bad. Literally i am an ignorant seamstress i would say. I have'nt learned the basics of sewing. So it feels very difficult for me to do a neat piping for the edges. .
But i enjoy the seam edgings done by efficient hands especially here. Dont know the owner of that blog personally. but i am a great fan of her. :)

Anyways here i  had given a try on the piping also with red and white cheque fabric. The cross stitching part was easy for me than to do the piping. This was the result.!!
